Automatic Account Manager is an integrated component in Intel Cloud SSO and McAfee Cloud Identity Manager products.

SaaS (Software As A Service) application licenses typically require a separate account for each user. Different SaaS service providers use different security models, such as password strength and retention policies, leaving it up to you to individually manage each provider’s model.

Doing this manually is expensive, cumbersome, time-consuming, and prone to errors. The cost of this process is affected by several factors, such as the number of users, number of SaaS applications and employee turnover. For example, an organization with 1,000 users, each accessing an average of 10 SaaS applications, has to manage 10,000 SaaS identities. And the problem gets worse if your organization has high turnover or seasonal variations in the number of users.

As an IT administrator, you need to create accounts for your users on each applicable SaaS application. Similarly, when a user’s attributes change or the user leaves the organization, you need to update, disable or delete all the SaaS accounts associated with the user.
